Just discovered another video ad on my recent post called the Auto/Body Connection – a piece about my old car.
The ad was for a 2012 Audi sports car with very bright LED headlights so powerful that their light pulverized a bunch of teen vampires partying in a dark forest.
Now that’s what I call relevant advertising by Google and WordPress.
My old eyes feel almost pulverized when suddenly confronted with those bright lights on a dark lonely highway.

Hi Jan, these annoying video ads are placed there automatically by WordPress because WordPress.com blogs are free. It’s really where they derive their income – from sales of ads. Google does the same thing with my Gmail and probably with their free blog format. They say they try to put up only relevant ads (relevant to your content), but sometimes they are just downright insensitive and stupid. It used to be just text ads, but now they are using videos.
